Whilst we have grand plans for the clubhouse, we must maintain and improve our facilities as much as possible, so over the summer, we carried out some much-needed renovations to the club.
With money raised by the Chairman's Challenge and grant funding from the UKSPF Rural Anchor Fund, we have:
- Cleaned and painted the outside of the clubhouse and added new signage;
- Renovated the car park;
- Treated the 1st Team pitch;
- Improved the layout inside the clubhouse and updated the men's toilets;
- Replaced the floodlights on our Touch and 3/4 pitches with new LED heads;
- And more!
This amounts to over £60,000 worth of investment and includes a huge number of volunteer hours to get the work done.
A massive thank you to our committee, including John Haslam and Terrie Cousins for securing the funding, and Stuart Henson, Kevin Painter, and Simon Perry for driving the work forward.
And a big thank you to Alexis Jones and Val Halsey for getting everything clean and tidy, ready for the start of the season.
