Exciting improvements underway at the club this summer

Roger Gill14 Jul - 11:30

From fresh paint to new floodlights, we're carrying out some much-needed renovations to the club

Rugby doesn’t seem to sleep at Pwlldu Lane with our Seahorse Squad (U3s - U5s) just finishing and some age groups already back for preseason training! The committee hasn’t had any time to rest either, as we embark on an exciting summer of renovation works.

Whilst we have grand plans, we must maintain and improve our facilities as much as possible. So, with this in mind, by the end of the summer, through money raised by the Chairman's Challenge and grant funding, we hope to have:

  • Given the outside of the clubhouse a fresh look (cleaned and painted);
  • Renovated the car park;
  • Treated and improved the First Team pitch;
  • Improved the inside of the clubhouse and men's toilets;
  • Replaced all our floodlights;
  • And even more!

This amounts to over £60,000 worth of investment and includes a huge number of volunteer hours to get the work done.

A massive thank you to John Haslam and Terrie Cousins for securing the funding and Stuart Henson, Kevin Painter, and Simon Perry for driving the work forward.
