Schools Festival Proves A Resounding Success

Schools Festival Proves A Resounding Success

Roger Gill6 Jun - 18:30

A huge thank you to everyone involved in our inaugural Junior Schools Festival on Friday (5 June)

We were delighted to welcome teams from BishPrimary, Whitestone, Pennard, Newton, Crwys, Oystermouth, Mayals, Parkland and Knelston for a brilliant afternoon of rugby.

Congratulations to all the children who took part across both the Year 4/5 and Year 5/6 tournaments. The standard of rugby and sportsmanship on display was outstanding and a credit to all the schools involved.

A big shout out to Dai Carey for organising the event, Rob Gadd and Andrew Rennie for helping to run the day, along with all the South Gower coaches and Ospreys in the Community who gave up their time to referee the matches and make the festival such a success.

It was a fantastic event and, hopefully, one that will become a regular fixture in the calendar, helping to grow the game by encouraging more children to experience and enjoy rugby.
